PawCodex is built around trust. Your pet's health data is sensitive, and we treat it that way. We will never sell your data or your pet's data to third parties — ever.
PawCodex is operated by PawCodex Labs ("we", "us", "our"). We provide a mobile application for tracking seizure events, medications, and health data for pets with epilepsy. Our registered contact details are available at contact.html.

We do not use your pet's health data for advertising, do not sell it to third parties, and do not share it with data brokers.
PawCodex uses the Claude API (provided by Anthropic, Inc.) to power AI pattern analysis features. When you request an AI analysis, relevant portions of your pet's anonymised health log are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not send personally identifiable information (your name or email) as part of AI analysis requests.
AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and do not constitute veterinary advice.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase-managed infrastructure hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
We implement row-level security controls so that your data is only accessible to you and the caregivers you explicitly invite.

We retain your account and pet data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
PawCodex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
